Question: Lupus + Language
In tabletop Werewolf, it says that Lupus werewolves don't start with any human languages, and have to buy them with freebie points at creation or XP later. I cannot find anything in the MET book to indicate this applies in LARP.
I'm asking because my character is Lupus, and a cub, and I'm not sure if I should be indicating that I'm speaking in Mothers Tongue, or that I should be fluent enough in English to speak in homid form, or how this should work.

Re: Question: Lupus + Language
This is something that's gone back and forth for ages in many games.
"Do Lupus have to buy Linguistics to speak a 'common' (i.e a Native Homid language) Language?"
I've never seen a printed rule on the subject. It's mainly up to the staff of the particular game if you have to spend points or not.

Feel free to speak English badly. If you want your Lupus PC to start spouting grammatically accurate speech, you might want to buy a level of Linguistics.

Sweet. That matches what I was doing anyways. And it's more fun!

As a longtime lupus player, I would also recommend avoiding contractions. :-)

And given that you're spending a lot of time around Glory, someone with a somewhat heavy Southern accent, it might be funny to slip in and out of bad English with a Southern accent. I have seen it.

I am of the opinion that there are enough Southern accents in HA, both good and bad, at the moment. Besides, even the players of characters what-aren't-from-the-south (hell even spirits) are picking up the accent on accident 'cuz that's what gamers do.

Its funny to see people slip into it during scenes, though. Good for a laugh.
