I hate mindless data entry

I'll trade you. You wanna talk to angry truckers all day? I would welcome mindless data entry at this point. Though, having done those sorts of jobs, I would be ready to explode after a week.

Seriously, you people wonder about my post count? I post while on my phone some guy with a 4th grade education yells at me about why he didn't get paid even though he didn't turn in his trip sheets.

I'll trade! You can deal with pizza stupidity, and I'll do mindless data entry. I'm a big fan of data entry, actually.

You know, y'all could do the "Pass the Job Around the Circle" Everybody gets to deal with mindless data entry, angry truckers, and pizza stupidity. No one gets bored. That would work, right?

Perhaps we could work on a spreadsheet for using angry truckers to deliver pizzas?

Except for the other component of my job that I get to do later today is to cold call people to try and recruit them. I usually get one of four responses 1) friendly and interested (this is a rarity), 2) no answer, 3) incredibly rude, 4) really disinterested and bland. It's frustrating. I feel all ya'lls pain.

I would tell you to apply at CRST since our recruiting department looks for people with those exact skills to take incoming calls but I'm fairly sure suggesting in any way any option to take you out of Ohio would end poorly for me.

Also, I would totally make a spreadsheet of customers who would deserve angry truckers delivering pizza to them. It would be sweet, sweet revenge.

Back when I worked as a delivery driver for dominos, many many years ago, I kept a listing of delivery addresses that never tipped.

...then I started giving them reasons not to tip after my 3rd delivery.

Bitter is humorous to the people it isn't being placed on.

People don't really seem to understand that the drivers REMEMBER who's rude and who doesn't tip. It doesn't honestly seem to figure into their thought processes, and when you've become a house that even the inside cooks cringe, point and laugh at drivers for having to deliver to, you know you done fucked up.

Drivers remember. Insiders remember. When you're nice, you'll be treated SO much better. When you tip, you'll be treated SO much better, too. Seriously. Don't fuck with people who handle your food.

^ Truth. I used to be EVIL to douchebag customers when I worked at Papa John's. A person had a right to a bad day, but consistent a-holery earned them the 'special' treatment.

I will say that I have never hung up on a customer, never cursed at a customer, and never knowingly allowed a coworker to spit in someone's food or do anything else disgusting to it or done any of that myself. I have seriously wanted to do all of the above, but I have not. I'm not entirely sure how. If a customer's a jackass to me, their food is not made well, there will be no offers of discounts, and there will be no rush to get it out the door. Plain and simple.

Sometimes when you're an asshole, a car drives through your neighborhood after leaving your home playing Duel of the Fates on it's horn.
