House Rules on Multiple Characters

Heartland Alliance is altering its rules for portraying multiple Heartland Alliance characters at HA LARP sessions. We will be asking players with multiple characters to designate a primary ("Unrestricted") character. We will allow this process to go on until December 1st to allow players to wind down storylines, arrange transfers, etc.

After that date, we will require that a Unrestricted character be played at six Heartland Alliance LARP sessions before you are able to designate another character as Unrestricted. It is a "cooldown" period on the ability to switch Heartland characters.

We will also allow players to designate one travel ("Restricted") character. You may switch out an inactive character with your Restricted character every six weeks. This character may be portrayed on the boards and anywhere else in OWbN except Heartland Alliance LARP sessions.

- Inactives. All HA characters not designated Unrestricted or Restricted will be marked Inactive on December 1st, and will not be available for portrayal in any circumstances.
- Foreign characters. If you have your ST staff send sheets ahead, you are welcome to portray foreign characters at Heartland Alliance.
- Death. If your Unrestricted character dies, you can designate a new one immediately.
- Transfer out. If you transfer out your Unrestricted character, you can designate a new one immediately.

Question:

Are satellite chronicles of Heartland Alliance considered to be "HA characters" for the purpose of this rule?

As a satellite is meant to maintain a separate database from its home game, characters in An Uncertain Destiny will not be considered Heartland Alliance PCs.
