The upcoming Moot.. Empty The upcoming Moot..

Post by Starrie Mon Jan 03, 2011 8:58 pm

Some of us have been talking about the food... There was mentioned that perhaps we could do two or three main dishes and then some sides and desserts with someone bringing soda or something else to drink.
I would like to volunteer for one of the main dishes. I have found a great site to order venison from and they expediate the shipping so it shows the next day. I am thinking about making Venison stew or chili and homemade biscuits. What do ya think?

Either would be great, though the chili and biscuits sounds reeeeaaaalllly good Very Happy And can you make more of your cupcakes? The frosting is addictive.

I would love to try venison for the first time, that sounds delicious!

I'd be happy to take on the burden of making baked goods if asking you to make both a main course and a desert is a bit much. I know how to bake, really really!

Anya-I love your brownies and that would be wonderful if you did the baked goods.

Amber-I promise there will be cupcakes in the future. I actually have recipes for different frostings to try out for some time to come. Very Happy

Can it be stew... pretty pleeeease. That way I can eat it. (I have a thing against chili)

I was planning on doing pinto beans and possibly corn bread, but if Anya wants to bake, she can maybe pick that up (I'll send you my recipe)

You...are gonna make me drool Chrystal. Nom-noms. And brownies are good, too Anya! I loves me some brownies...And since Chris has somethin' against chili, stew works...but can there still be biscuits? It's the biscuits I'm really after.

Btw, do people want the mulled cider again? Who drank it, who liked it, so I can get a good count.

If I made corn chowder, would it be eaten? If I got the schedule right, EM's moot is the same weekend, so I'll make a massive batch.

Chili/stew and chowder prolly aren't the best combo, though.

I'll make the stew and biscuits. Laughing Pretty sure you're right Jason. Maybe someone can make a cassarole or something? Someone else should probably bring another dessert and sides would be welcomed.

I have not experienced this mulled cider you mentioned, however I have a feeling I will enjoy it.
